My Work and Responsibilities

Working at the frontlines of democracy and human rights, I build bridges between communities in exile, policymakers, and global movements.

My work transforms repression and displacement into collective power, creating spaces where identity, culture, and advocacy converge.

I often serve as the interface between vulnerable communities and the international systems that shape their futures, amplifying voices under threat and fostering resilience that endures beyond borders.

Advocacy

I amplify the voices of Hong Kongers in exile by engaging policymakers, international institutions, and global media. Through my work with the Hong Kong Democracy Council and other platforms, I highlight the erosion of freedoms in Hong Kong and press for accountability. My advocacy seeks to transform personal risk into structural impact, ensuring that the plight of Hong Kongers remains part of the international agenda.

Community

I believe exile is not the end of belonging, but the beginning of rebuilding. Through initiatives like Hong Kong March, a UK-wide cultural month, I create spaces where Hong Kongers can preserve identity, celebrate culture, and find solidarity. These projects foster resilience in displacement, turning fragmented communities into networks of mutual support and political strength.

Campaigning

I mobilise our diaspora to turn conviction into influence. As the lead organiser of Vote for Hong Kong 2024, I coordinated a campaign that connected the electoral power of UK-based Hong Kongers to policy outcomes, demonstrating that exiled voices can shape the politics of our host countries. My campaigning combines grassroots energy with strategic framing, ensuring that the struggle for Hong Kong remains visible and consequential.

At HKDC, I focus on exposing Chinese foreign influence and transnational repression, while advancing policy initiatives such as UK’s Foreign Influence Registration Scheme, humanitarian pathways for Hong Kongers, and raising international awareness of Hong Kong’s political prisoners.
