At this annual three-day global human rights forum, I delivered an Ignite Talk on Hong Kong, exile, and imagining the future — 20 slides x 15 seconds each, no teleprompter, no notes.

The following day, I joined Chloe Cheung, Samuel Bickett, and Ben Rogers in a panel on Hong Kong’s transformation from a global financial hub into a conduit for authoritarian influence, examining its shifting geopolitical role and the export of transnational repression.
